Frequently Asked Questions

Are your services covered by the NDIS?

Yes. Most in-home supports (personal care, domestic assistance, community access) are typically funded under Core Supports – Assistance with Daily Life.

High-intensity or nurse-led items are billed under Community Nursing Care, commonly categorised as Capacity Building – Improved Daily Living.

We review your plan, goals and budgets, then provide transparent line items and hourly rates that align with the current NDIS Price Guide. We work with self-managed, plan-managed and NDIA-managed participants, and we can liaise with your support coordinator or plan manager to set everything up.

Continuity matters. If your regular worker is sick or on leave, our coordinator will contact you promptly to confirm priorities and offer a suitably trained backup who knows your routine and risks (medications, transfers, communication preferences).

Where possible, we introduce the replacement ahead of time or provide a quick handover on arrival. All backups meet the same checks (police/WWCC, references, competencies), and follow your care plan. After the shift, we debrief and update notes so your primary worker can resume seamlessly.

We start with a respectful intake: preferred language, pronouns, cultural practices, food rules, gender preferences, and any faith or community considerations. Using this profile, we shortlist staff with language skills, relevant experience (e.g., dementia, mental health, ABI), and the right temperament.

Where required, we place gender-specific workers and can arrange accredited interpreters. Before the first visit, we confirm expectations and household norms. You can request changes at any time—no awkwardness. Our goal is a comfortable, dignified match that supports trust and long-term continuity.

Your nurse completes a medication assessment and sets up a Medication Management Plan: what to take, when, route, storage, and escalation steps. Support workers can provide prompts and document adherence.

Where administration is required, an RN delivers it or trains/assesses a worker under delegation per policy. We use dose-administration aids, two-step checks, and digital shift notes. We liaise with your GP/pharmacist for chart updates, monitor side-effects, and report any changes promptly.
