Frequently Asked Questions

Can you support high-intensity needs or behaviours of concern?

Yes. We support participants with high-intensity needs and concerning behaviours through careful planning and skilled staff. Before services start, we complete risk assessments, review your behaviour support plan (or help coordinate one), and agree on clear strategies, communication preferences, and early warning signs.

We match workers with the right skills, run shadow shifts, and set the proper ratio. Where required, we coordinate with clinicians and schools. Any regulated restrictive practice is delivered in line with authorisation and reporting requirements. Our goal is to provide safe, predictable supports that reduce distress and increase participation.

Life happens. If you need to cancel, please tell us as early as possible so we can offer the spot to someone else. Under the current NDIS Pricing Arrangements, a booking may be billed if it’s cancelled at short notice (i.e., with insufficient time for us to replace the shift). We’ll explain the timeframe that applies to your service at onboarding.

Where we can, we’ll reschedule. Pre-purchased tickets or third-party fees are handled case-by-case. If we cancel, you won’t be charged, and we’ll prioritise a session for you as soon as the next available one becomes available.

Generally, you’re eligible if you’re an NDIS participant with goals related to community, social, or recreational participation. Supports can be funded from Core or Capacity Building, depending on whether you’re accessing activities or building skills.

Helpful evidence includes goal statements, recent allied-health reports that describe the functional impact and support needs, risk or behaviour plans where relevant, and quotes outlining hours, ratios, and expected outcomes. During planning or review, we can provide service information and proposed schedules that demonstrate how supports are reasonable and necessary, and how they align with your goals.

Absolutely! Our team completes training in Positive Behaviour Support foundations, de-escalation, trauma-informed practice, safeguarding, first aid and CPR, medication assistance, and infection prevention. New staff receive structured induction, shadow shifts, and supervision.

We practise scenario-based drills for emergencies, with a clear escalation pathway and incident reporting aligned to NDIS requirements. We also emphasise communication, cultural safety, and dignity of risk. For high-intensity needs, we provide additional competencies specific to your plan. Our aim is calm, consistent support that prioritises safety, reduces escalation, and helps you keep participating with confidence daily.
